I’m so excited to share this wedding with you today! I’ve been waiting awhile to share this very special day with you all. Chris and Jill are two wonderful and super fun people that I have the pleasure of having around in real life. Which is pretty great.

Chris and Jill got married at St. James Church in Binghamton, NY and then boarded a trolley with their bridal party to head to Brackney, PA for a lakeside reception with their closest family and friends, at Quaker Lake, where Chris’s family lives. But not without a quick stop at the State Street bar, Tom & Marty’s where the couple met at Wednesday Night Trivia.

Mother Nature was not cooperating that day.The side panels of their dinner tent went up and down about three times before the sun peaked through and everything dried up just in time for cocktails. It turned out to be a perfect summer night… finally!

Here are some beautiful photos from Maria at Strinni Studio Photography. Enjoy!

The bridal party enjoyed cocktails on the dock at a close family friend’s home while the bride and groom took pictures. The newlyweds joined them aboard a pontoon boat, to head to the reception.

Guests were bused from town, where the ceremony was held, to the lake for the reception, on a school bus. This was perfect, and easy to come by for the groom, a local elementary school vice-principal.

Here’s another beautiful wedding from the super talented photographer (and bridesmaid) Randi Voss. I’m kind of amazed how she managed to shoot this wedding and still stand where she needed to be. Smoke and mirrors. Enjoy! Sara and Nigel ( a Welshman) married in Warrenton, VA in August of this year. Enjoy these beautiful pictures! You might even recognize some of our other couples in the group here, like our Hokie Bride Jamie!

From the bride… Our wedding was totally super stellar and more perfect than we could have ever imagined! I know we look so happy we just might pop and we were/are just that happy!  Our theme was fun and stress free.  We had the best time from the moment we started planning our wedding until the very end of our fantastic day.

From Randi, the photographer… Their wedding began at 11:30 am and this is a photo I grabbed during their “first look” at 9am.  Look at that expression on Nigel’s face!

From Randi, the photographer… Nigel is Welsh and many of his groomsmen came over from Wales to be with Nigel and Sara for the day.

From the bride… I let all of my bridesmaids pick their own dresses, part of that stress free theme.  They all look totally amazing as they know what they fancy!

Newlyweds...

My dear friend Katie and her boyfriend of… a very long time- we’ll call it over ten years for our purposes- got married as only they could- in a beautifully rustic setting in rural New Hampshire. I affectionately refer to this wedding as the “The Wedding in the Woods,” because that’s what it was, and it perfectly fit Katie and Chris’s laid back personalities.

Katie and Chris chose a beautiful camp on Lake Winnipesaukee for their wedding, which was casually chic, just like the them. While Mother Nature had  other plans, the little bit of rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. These amazing photos come to us from photographer Kari  Herer, who not only photographs amazingly beautiful things, she also creates them. Check out her Etsy Shop too!

Here’s an early look at some of Kari’s amazing images. More to come!

Yes… there are more.  I just couldn’t narrow them down. They’re just too beautiful. Here are some more FABULOUS photos from Rocco & Larah’s San Juan del Sur Nicaragua, wedding reception from Cindy Johnson

Reception- San Juan Del Sur

From the lovely bride…“Eventually we all went down to the restaurant for the reception, which featured seafood pasta, beef tenderloin, and grilled mahi-mahi.  We heard great speeches over both a champagne and tequila toast.”

From the bride…“Then it was time for dancing!  I danced with my father to Guns N Roses Sweet Child Of Mine.  We topped off the night with non-stop dancing until finally I donned a white bikini, stripped down the groom, and most of the wedding party found themselves in the pool.

“Overall, the wedding was a complete fairy-tale for us and our guests.  We were skeptical about a destination wedding in a developing country, but in the end we could never have done better in the US.  It was more magical and the staff at the resort did a better job than we ever imagined.  I would do it again in a heartbeat, and feel that our entire wedding was one of the highlight of my life so far!”

This beautiful Real Wedding was sent to me by Randi Voss of  Randi Voss photography.  Krissy and Jon met in Charlottesville, VA, so when it came time to plan their wedding it seemed like a perfect fit. Krissy, a UVA alum and Jon, who was originally from Charlottseville, opted to get married at the chapel on the University of Virgina’s campus. Their reception was at Veritas Vineyards, and the weather absolutely cooperated. SO great. Love me some vino weddings!

From the lovely bride… “Walking out of the chapel with Jon was one of my favorite moments of the day. I think we actually high-fived.”

” My other favorite moment was dancing with my dad.  I experienced what Oprah calls, “the ugly cry” 🙂

Love it.

Krissy and Jon opted for a pumpkin ice cream cake  specially made at Chaps, their favorite, and one of Charlottesville’s oldest ice cream parlors.

From the bride…”We both love their pumpkin ice cream and don’t really like cake so the owner so kindly made us our ice cream cake. It’s not the prettiest cake by any  means, since it melted by the time we took pictures, but it certainly was the best tasting cake I’ve ever had!”

Guess where they went on their first anniversary….

From the bride…”For favors we had a chocolate bar. We bought gourmet chocolates from Wegmans Grocery store (they are sooo good and have different flavors, like key lime pie and PB&J). I ordered boxes online and my sister made labels for the tops with our names and our wedding date. We put all the chocolates out and everyone fill their own boxes with the chocolates they wanted.”
